BDS Cross Stools
Designed by Carlos in the early years of the studio, this wooden stool reflects a clear approach to structure, proportion, and material. Standing at 23" with a 13" diameter seat, constructed from Paraguayan cedar with a walnut finish, it resolves scale and proportion with precision.
Its presence across local coffee shops and venues speaks to its durability and versatility—an object developed for everyday use. ¾" thick panel construction engineered for endurance.
A foundational piece, shaped by intention and built to last.
Daily
Wipe spills immediately. Moisture exposure will mark exposed Paraguayan cedar.
Regular
Dust with a dry cloth. The walnut stain will develop a natural patina with use.
Maintenance
Over time, high-traffic areas may show wear. The stool can be refinished with walnut stain as needed. For deeper marks or discoloration, light sanding followed by restain restores the surface.
Avoid
Prolonged moisture exposure. Extended wetness will cause grain raise and potential swelling. Not suitable for outdoor or high-moisture environments.
